This week we turn our focus to a new sermon series about surrender.  We’re calling this series “I Surrender All,” and this Sunday we will look at what it means to surrender your life to Jesus.  How would you explain that to someone?  What does it mean to surrender everything – possessions, dreams, thoughts, words – all to Jesus?
 
Some people would say that surrendering your life to Jesus simply means to trust and obey, and that’s certainly not a bad explanation.  Some would say it means accepting Jesus as your Savior – and that’s also true.  Believing the Bible, reading it, and trying to live by its teachings are also a big part of what it means to surrender your life to Jesus.
 
In Romans 12:1, Paul tells us exactly what it means to surrender your life to Jesus.  I hope you will join me Sunday as we hear what Paul has to say.  Paul tells us that an unsurrendered life is lived for yourself, but a surrendered life is lived for Jesus.
