This morning we are starting a new sermon series called “The Mystery of Godliness.” How do you become a more godly person? We’re going to try to answer that question over the next three weeks as we look at the Apostle Paul’s words to Timothy. Paul tells us that there are no shortcuts to godliness. There is no holiness pill we can take that will make us hear God’s voice and receive God’s favor. Godliness is a lifestyle. Those who would be most like God must be about what God likes most. We must love as God loves and live as God lives. This morning we will see that godliness is a path to follow, not a pill to take.
