This morning, we will continue working our way through the first chapter of James in our sermon series “Restart: Back to the Basics.” James is teaching us how to get back to the basics of following Jesus.  Whatever the current condition of your faith, James has a word for you. James was writing to Jewish Christians who had been driven out of Jerusalem because of intense persecution. They were struggling to hold onto their faith, and James encouraged them...and us...to stick to the basics of our faith no matter how tough the fight gets. James makes it clear - authentic faith doesn’t give in to temptation without a fight.
