1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Our mission as followers of Jesus is to make disciples by taking personal risks to bring the gospel to every relationship. But this mission is a team effort, and we all have a part to play. We can think of this mission like an orchestra. When all of the instruments in the orchestra play together, they are able to make music that is far more beautiful than any instrument could play alone. Like an orchestra counting on each instrument to do its part, we are instruments for the gospel. And when all of us come together and use our gifts we are far more effective in achieving our mission. Paul makes this clear in his words to the church at Corinth in 1 Corinthians 12. Each of us has been given a unique and specific gift by God. This morning Paul tells us some of the ways God has gifted those who follow Jesus.
